Interesting Experience
Les plus : Team was great! Hardworking and helpful.
Les moins : Lack of direction and insight.

Company Has Imploded On Itself
Les plus : The company is now ran by Emcompass Technologies. Orchestra only exists as a brand name now essentially.
Les moins : Leadership decided to go through with a merger. Was more like a hostile takeover. They've pushed 90% of the original Orchestra employees out at this point. It is not the same company anymore.
Sad Ending - "Merger" killed it
Les plus : There was a time in it's heyday where Orchestra was a special place. It was a place that was either a 5 star review, or a 1 star review for many, as the other reviews show, but such is the nature of startups, especially one with as lofty of goals for the wellness of the employees, as well as the business as a whole. The merger Orchestra went through in 2020 killed it though.
Les moins : As mentioned in the "Pro's," the merger with Encompass destroyed the employees at Orchestra. We were made to feel second class, and like our efforts in building the company that we did were no longer necessary. There has been an exodus of late, and it's a sad time.
Executive and "Leadership" Teams Are Laughable
Les plus : none, there are no pros
Les moins : everything. just listen to the reviews, they all say the same things so that should show you the truth, pay attention unless you want to get fired out of nowhere by the sneaky slithering snakes that only keep sheep around. Pathetic place. A disgrace. It's really cute how they keep making new values when their old ones fail them because either way it's not like they're upholding or living by them in any way as they say. Plenty of other places to get experience where the people aren't petty and actually want to create a healthy environment. Leave before too late. You'll get stabbed in the back too. No rewards for loyalty here, they slice heads left and right with no remorse.
Don't Join the Mess
Les plus : Snacks, beers, etc, like most start up offers, location is great, free/easy parking.
Les moins : Management is so out of touch with what the job entails, if you ask questions on how to do something, they will tell you to do what you think is best, but then tell you how wrong your decision was (even if client was happy with decision). Managers always seemed to be in 100 meetings which seem to accomplish nothing, direction of department changes on a weekly basis and if you do the previous week's practices, you will repeatedly be asked why you didn't follow procedures.
They sugar coat the opportunity and the company during interview process, and especially during the social interview, don't fall for it, stay away completely.
Awesome place to learn & grow - future is bright
Les plus : People that work here want to improve and work together to see positive change in product and culture. The Leadership team isn’t afraid to jump in and help when people need it, and ask for feedback from everyone to keep Orchestra moving forward. Those that can pivot and offer a solution, not just problems, will thrive. Just good people.
Les moins : It’s not a 9-5 job if that’s what you want
Still feels in startup hustle mode at the moment
Turnover from more tenured people
Former employer
Les plus : People who work here are awesome i made some good friends
Les moins : I hope the CEO takes care of people that are working so hard and just stop worrying about leadership/Management team promotions.
The Truth
Les plus : The people on the front line. They are some of the best coworkers you will ever meet. They will be the only bright side of showing up to the office every day.
The customers are also amazing, their passion for the industry will rub off on you and you will find yourself drinking only customer beers when you hit your local bar.
Les moins : I wish by writing this review it would cause the leadership team to really reflect on what this company has become. Unfortunately, they will continue to play the victim. So instead, this is a message to anyone looking to work at Orchestra. Do yourself a favor and read the previous reviews, it’s not remotely the place they will sell you in your interview. They believe the inability to keep top notch employees has nothing to do with them. Instead, they will insist to you that they have gone in “different directions” with previous employees. If “different directions” is alienating outstanding employees because the COO finds them threatening to her narcissistic lying reign, then yes, different directions. Her power to manipulate is strong, just look at the CEO. The way she talks about her ability to manipulate him behind his back is honestly sad. Her lack of knowledge of any department is apparent to anyone that has had a meeting with her. To keep her COO facade going she will belittle you in every meeting. With her it goes like this, drink the kool-aid and she won’t put you on her hit list. However, if you give honest feedback or take one step out of line you are too much of a liability to her.
They will bribe you with the “employee perks” but essentially it’s equivalent to taking hush money to not speak out about the serious culture issues impacting Orchestra. There is no work-life balance, you are expected to put in way more than 40 hours and if you don’t you fall into the “not passionate enough” category.
Additionally, don’t expect any help from leadership in general. They will constantly be in all-day meetings with their phones in “phone jail” and be unavailable for you at any point of the day. If you are a frontline employee they will want you to be empowered to make decisions but never adequately compensate you for being the head of your department the one day a week when they are out. The fact of the matter is, internal employees have been repeatedly promoted without any guidance or knowledge. In turn, the leadership team is full of people that know the product but have no idea how to lead a team, let alone a department. They have no idea how to handle any actual work-related situations so it’s best not to look to them for any advice. Do I blame them? Not at all. They were promoted into positions in leadership with no qualifications. While it’s not their fault, most of them are lackluster managers with little ability to address actual issues because of a complete lack of experience.
My best advice, don’t do it. You’ll regret it from the day you start when the blinders of the interview are removed and you see what the company is really like. Plain and simple, this place is a cult, if you drink the kool-aid you will pour your heart into the company and get nothing in return. If you dare give critical feedback, good luck, you’ll be banished and outcast from that day forward.
Pay attention to reviews
Les plus : The people.
Beyond that the snacks, the beer and the activities don't make up for the fact that the culture of this company is left wanting in literally every way.
Les moins : Poor communication, poor management from the management team on up through the CEO. A lack of thoughtfulness about hiring - you hired a TON of people, some who had jobs already to come work for you. Then you laid off the majority of them and treated them like they were fired. (So much being a family, right?) The recklessness and lack of forethought concerning the hiring plan is absolutely astounding. Sounds like you needed temps to fill seats, rather than people invested in making the company propel itself forward.
Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
Les plus : Most of the people were great. From what I hear it has become a sad sorry place lately.
Since this is the "pros" section, I'll mention that the snacks were top notch and they kept them flowing.
Les moins : Not worth explaining. Just read each review on this site very carefully and trust that what is written is true. I read them before taking a job at Orchestra, but unfortunately did not trust them, which was my mistake.

Company lacked vision
Company lacked vision and direction and was more focused on getting bought out so the owners get the big pay day. Culture was fun and the other people were friendly and genuine.

Leadership and management are unprofessional and unskilled
This is not a good company to work for. The leadership is intellectually lazy and the culture of the company is to mindlessly follow the leader. There is little room for advancement. Promotions are predicated on brown nosing and undermining others.
Les plus : Many of the original team members are highly skilled, not good at sharing that knowledge or mentoring others.
Les moins : Leadership is unskilled and distracted by cheering for themselves.

Not what it used to be
The dream of Orchestra is falling apart. Ownership changes and leadership restructuring have driven a lot of recent changes which now make this a less than ideal place to come work.
Les plus : Founded on a values driven culture and the idea of being the best place to work
Les moins : Everything has changed and started to fall apart

Great Team, Hard working, hard playing
This is a team of stallions. Everyone works hard, but they play hard too. Beer friday's, foosball, shuffleboard. Guest beer comes back from professional services.
The timelines are most difficult, quarterly releases, means everyone is on their toes and driving everything forward. Continuous improvement is a common mantra.
Les plus : Beer fridays, snacks, sodas, mostly casual atmosphere
Les moins : Changing direction from management
